More than 30 million people in the U.S. have diabetes, and 90 to 95 percent type 2. The CDC says metformin is the fourth-most prescribed drug in the United States. (Source-MEDSCAPE)
I don’t believe there are diabetics other than just type1, which is an auto-immune disease. The so called T2D is a metabolic disorder of blood sugar management. Yes, you may have a high blood sugar level but it does not require a drug to control it. Type 2 Diabetes is optional. And you are in control. You can decide what option you are going to take to manage it. You can take the easy way out by taking a drug and suffer the consequences of the side effects. Or, the best option in my opinion, is to get healthier. Stop loading up on sugar, drastically lower your carbohydrates, and lose weight if you are more than 10% overweight. Do some form of exercise such as biking, walking, kettle bell swings, and/or weight strength exercises. Get healthy to avoid diseases and avoid taking drugs whenever possible. You can also support your efforts by supplementing your diet with an herb called Hintonia latiflora. Over 60 years of research in Germany, with over 15 scientific studies, has proven that Hintonia is safe and effective to manage blood sugar and A1c levels.
