Cherries Eliminate Flare-ups

Cherries have been shown to prevent flare-ups of gout.  Research has shown that eating 10 to 12 fresh cherries or drinking cherry juice, and better yet sugar free, freeze dried cherry fruit extract, can lower the risk for gout flare-ups by 35% to 50%.  Cherries are anti-inflammatory and reduce the levels of uric acid that trigger a gout attack.
