Pomegranate Seed Oil and Extract Can Improve Circulation

In a one year study, the equivalent of two dosages of 600 mg of Pomegranate seed oil and extract reduced the thickening of the endothelium (the inner lining of the artery) by 35% in one year, therefore, increasing circulation of blood and oxygen to the heart and brain. I’m not aware of any drug that has this ability to open up the arteries. The group of subjects in the study who were not on Pomegranate seed oil and extract had an additional 9% thickening of the endothelium.

Rather than using a drug to open up the arteries, which is not available, doctors prescribe a blood thinner to ensure circulation and prevent clotting. Pomegranate seed oil and extract appears to be more promising than a blood thinner.
