Garlic, the Natural and Effective Antibiotic


Garlic is a food as well as a medicine.  It is one of the most powerful natural antibiotics.  It can kill bacteria when antibiotics fail to do so.  Many antibiotics have become bacteria resistant.  Garlic has never shown a trend to be bacteria resistant.  In laboratory studies, garlic will kill off a higher concentration of bacteria and more varieties of bacteria than antibiotics will.  Garlic is 100 times stronger than several commonly prescribed antibiotics, plus garlic is an excellent supporting product for our cardiovascular health reducing cholesterol and blood pressure.  Dr. Jonny Bowden, co-author of The Great Cholesterol Myth, calls garlic one of his favorite ingredients to support heart health.  A really good dosage is to look for a garlic tablet that is equal to 4 grams of fresh garlic and preferably enteric coated to prevent garlic breath and odor.  Garlic is truly one of nature’s oldest medicines.
