Dry Cough, Restless Legs, Night Cramps, and Menstrual Cramps Are Caused by Muscle Contraction
Have you ever laid in bed and listened to your children cough non-stop? You know they don’t have a cold or runny nose but yet they lie in bed and cough for what seems like an eternity. This is a condition that affects children more than adults. Because of their small frame and their huge need for calcium for bone growth, the small percentage of calcium that is required to maintain the proper muscle contraction can be easily lost due to high acidity from soft drinks, sugar and excessive sun, particularly in the summer months. 99% of the calcium is found in the bone. Only 1% of the calcium is found in the soft tissue. The calcium in the soft tissue improves muscle contraction, reduces excitability of the muscles and nervous system, reduces restless legs, muscle cramps at night, and cramps during menstruation. Calcium also is required along with magnesium for the proper rhythm of the heart as it also is a muscle. I found that a combination of calcium and magnesium in a 5:1 ratio with zinc can have a significant benefit in controlling muscle contraction. It will reduce and eliminate night cough, cramps, nervousness and restless legs.
