Researchers gathered data on the coffee drinking habits of almost 500,000 British citizens collected over 10 years.
Results: Drinking one or more cups of coffee a day reduced long-term risk of heart failure. Risk decreased up to 12% for every cup of daily coffee.
Risk of dying from heart disease was 17% lower versus people who didn’t drink coffee, and risk of stroke was 21% lower.
Coffee drinkers were also less likely to get diabetes.
