Older Adults Need Sleep Too.

Myth: Older adults need less sleep.

Fact: Older adults often have problems sleeping, but they still need 7-8 hours of sleep every night.  Up to 70% of older adults have chronic sleep problems.

Most common sleep issue: falling asleep and staying asleep.

For a Good Night’s sleep: Ashwagandha

Researchers conducted a 12 week, double blind, placebo-controlled trial of Ashwagandha versus placebo in 50 people, ages 65-80 years old, with sleep problems.

Results: The Ashwagandha group experienced an overall 14% improvement in sleep quality versus 3% improvement in the placebo group.

Specifically, the Ashwagandha group experienced Improved mental alertness in the morning.

Better sleep quality.

99% of the participants taking Ashwagandha reported their experience as good or excellent, versus 40% of the placebo group who said they had poor or satisfactory results.

To address the sleep problem, take 150-300 mg daily of Ashwagandha standardized for 35%, that’s  7 times stronger than plain Ashwagandha.
