Are you stressed out?  Suffering from depression?

Well, here’s my recipe for building resistance from within - the resistance to fatigue, depression, exhaustion, lack of energy and the inability to cope with stress.  Why do some people have such a challenge with stress while others look at the stressful situation and view it as an opportunity?

If we were gifted with a strong adrenal function or we maintain a healthy diet that supports adrenal function, we can take on anything without being crushed by stress.  Our strong adrenals will help us maintain a positive, optimistic and cheerful outlook, but if we don’t have strong adrenals, we make mountains out of mole hills; we have unfounded fears; we cry for no reason; and we seem to be plagued by colds and flu, and allergies.  Can we change the strength of our adrenals?  If we are going to eat junk food, smoke, drink heavily, and burn the candle at both ends, we can destroy our adrenal function.  However, if we eat high quality protein, low carbohydrates, and no refined carbohydrates, no sugar or vegetable oils, but concentrate on fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and berries along with protein, we can rebuild our adrenals or strengthen them to compensate for the stress in our life.  We also need 7 to 9 hours of rest nightly to recharge our batteries.  Anything less will not be adequate to strengthen our adrenal function.

Plus, I like to take a great formula containing rhodiola, schisandra, ashwagandha, and eleuthero as these four adaptogenic herbs can build our inner and outer strength.
