Acute inflammation can be good to help the body recover from an injury, accident, or surgery.  So why do most Americans suffer from chronic inflammation? There are many reasons for the cause of inflammation.  Some reasons are controllable and many are not. Chemicals, pollution, smoking, excessive drinking, and excessive sun to the point that it causes a sun burn, are causes of inflammation. There is a major cause of inflammation that all Americans can totally control, inflammation caused by the American diet and the subsequent weight gain and obesity. Just under 50% of Americans, regardless of color, are obese. The controlling factor is diet. The Standard American Diet (SAD) is primarily made up of processed and refined carbohydrates, and sugar. Highly prepared, pre-packaged and refined foods are made from white flour, sugar, highly processed vegetable oils, and cheap soy and corn oils (Omega-6). Over time, this type of diet causes inflammation the same as smoking does. Obesity is now referred to by some medical experts as the new smoking. Can we reduce inflammation once it is on fire in our body? Yes, we totally can! If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, time to switch the diet and lifestyle. The best diet for transformation is a low carbohydrate, low, or no sugar diet.  I would highly recommend the Ketogenic Diet.  Add 20-30 minutes of exercise 3-4 times weekly. A great exercise is working out with kettle bells.  Yes, everyone, regardless of age, can have a body and bone strengthening event as well as an aerobic effect.

For your health and a balance of your hormones, 7-9 hours of sleep is a must. Make food and healthy lifestyle your medicine. Drugs do not make you healthy and doctors cannot!
