For decades we have been misinformed and mislead regarding the harmful effects of cholesterol, saturated fats, and fats in general. If we look back, at the health and fitness of most Americans, 50-70 years ago we will see slim, fit people who at the time enjoyed eating plenty of fats and cholesterol was not an issue.
What happened? From the observation of one doctor, his assumption was that Americans were dying from heart disease based on eating fats, especially saturated fats. The call to action by the medical community was to avoid fats. There never was a study to prove this assumption was true or not and still to this day there has never been a study to prove that fats are bad for us.
We were all brain washed that fats were the enemy that destroyed the health of Americans. Today, after avoiding fats for decades, just under 50% of all Americans, regardless of color, are obese, and 91% are overly fat. After giving up fats, the foods of choice were carbohydrates (carb’s) and sugar. Sugar consumption in the early 1900’s was less than 5 pounds per individual annually, but today, the average consumption of pure cane sugar is close to 200-250 pounds per year, per individual. Plus, 67 pounds of high fructose corn syrup besides dozens of other forms of sugar such as honey, maple syrup, and fruit juice.

Sugar, carbs, and starchy foods are another source of sugar. Along with all this sugar and the malfunctioning of the hormone insulin, it is responsible for all the so called modern, non-communicable diseases. There is no pill nor drug that will cure these diseases, and there will never be a cure for cancer. The billions of dollars spent each year on cancer research has not given us a clue as to how to cure cancer. However, smoking is the cause of 30% of all cancer, and obesity is the cause of 40% of cancers today. Just a few small adjustments to our lifestyle could possibly prevent 70% of all cancers. Prevention is the cure for all diseases.
Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of conditions that occur together, increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes. These conditions include increased blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol or triglyceride levels.
Having just one of these conditions doesn't mean you have metabolic syndrome. But it does mean you have a greater risk of serious disease. And if you develop more of these conditions, your risk of complications, such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease, rises even higher.

I would prefer to call the Metabolic syndrome, the Carbohydrate Sugar addiction syndrome. A healthy diet of high protein, plenty of fats, and a very low intake of carbs and no sugar will correct many unhealthy conditions, slim the body, and balance the hormone levels in the body. Build a healthy, strong, fit body with less need to exercise, and greatly reduce the risk of dozens of diseases.

40% of cancers diagnosed in the U.S. may have a link to tobacco use, according to this month’s Vital Signs Report. Tobacco use is the leading, preventable cause of cancer and cancer deaths. It causes more than lung cancer — based on current evidence, it can cause cancers of the mouth and throat, voice box, esophagus, stomach, kidney, pancreas, liver, bladder, cervix, colon and rectum, and a type of leukemia (acute myeloid leukemia).
