Vitamin D & Aspirin
In the news this week, parents are being urged to “get your kids a flu shot as soon as possible!” Is vitamin D a nature’s flu shot? How much vitamin D do you need daily? Scientists are calling on the government to increase recommendations to at least 2000 IU per day from the current 600 IUs daily for adults.
“Is Aspirin the New Wonder Drug?” featured a recent article. Beware: The article did not mention that a new study finds that regular aspirin users are 2.37 times more likely to develop the most severe form of Age-Related Macular Degeneration than non-regular aspirin users!
