Everyone experiences anxiety from time to time. But it’s not normal to experience excessive worry and stress day-to-day, month-to-month, or year-to-year. Thankfully, nature has an effective solution to ease your stress safely and effectively.
Q. Dear Terry, “My 10 year old nephew has been struggling with a cough for the past several weeks. It’s been getting better, but still seems to affect him at night. My sister said he can’t sleep through the night because of his cough.” — Kristal D., Duluth, MN
Q. Dear Terry, “I’ve been reading a lot about “superbugs” and the dangers of antibiotic usage. What are some natural alternatives to antibiotics that you can either take daily or when needed?” — Chaz R., Provo, UT

Well, that question is very difficult to answer and should be considered based on the individual’s health and age. Before you make that decision I think it would be advisable to consult with your physician. However, there are some very excellent natural alternatives to support our immune system and strengthen our resistance against colds and flu.
There are 2 clinically studied herbs that have a remarkable effect in shortening the duration and severity of a cold. In most cases in the study, participants were able to reduce the cold and flu significantly within 24 to 48 hours. The herbs that I take based on the clinical research are pelargonium and andrographis. I would look for a formula containing these two herbs and take the recommended dosage based on the manufacturers label. You can even double or triple the dosage for more effective results without fear of side effects.
Experts also believe that vitamin D3 can prevent and abort 90% of influenza. It might be of great benefit since vitamin D3 is such a miracle supplement. Have your physician check your vitamin D levels. You probably would want them in the range of at least 60 nanograms per milliliter or over. For very short periods of time it doesn’t hurt to take 5,000 to 10,000 IUs of vitamin D3. Considering that if we were able to spend about 20 minutes in the sun and at least 50% exposed, we would produce 20,000 IUs of vitamin D3.
TODAY'S WORD From Joel and Victoria
It’s easy to get stuck in the trap of thinking that if only your circumstances would just change, then life would be better. You might think, “If I got a new job, or a new house or had better friends, then I would really be happy.” But I’ve learned that often times, God changes us before He changes our circumstances. We are thinking, “If only my circumstances would change,” when God may be thinking, “If only your attitude would change!”
Today, if you’ve been thinking, “If only,” it’s time to turn your thoughts around. Don’t allow negative thinking to direct your attitude or affect how you treat others. Instead, begin to thank God for what He has planned for you. Bloom where you are planted. Tend to what God has placed in your hand. If you will focus on what you have instead of focusing on what you don’t have, then God can bless you and multiply you and lead you forward into the destiny He has in store for you!

Maintaining order rather than correcting disorder is the ultimate principle of wisdom. To cure disease after it has appeared is like digging a well when one feels thirsty, or forging weapons after the war has already begun. — Nei Jing (2nd century BC)
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
"Father in heaven, thank You for Your goodness and grace upon my life. Today I choose to turn my thoughts around and focus on what You have placed in my hands. I will be faithful, knowing that You are faithful, and that You have a good plan in store for me in Jesus’ name! Amen."
