My son was recently diagnosed with pre-diabetes.

A. Dear Myrna, I believe diet is very important when it comes to overall health. I recommend restricting all sugar and foods made with sugar, refined flour, and carbohydrates. That means soft drinks, sweetened and diet, crackers, candy, cookies, bread, pasta, cakes, and ice cream. While I understand this takes a huge effort, it can make a real difference. My favorite botanical ingredient for controlling blood sugar is Hintonia latiflora.

Hintonia latiflora has been studied in Europe for over 60 years and has shown great promise for type 2 diabetes. In clinical studies, Hintonia latiflora was combined with synergistic ingredients like vitamin C, vitamin E, thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B6, folic acid, vitamin B12, biotin, zinc, and chromium. Together, these ingredients were shown to lower A1C levels by 10%, improve fasting and postprandial blood sugar by 23% and 24% respectively, balance total cholesterol and reduce triglyceride levels, prevent hypoglycemia, and reduce medication use. I always encourage people to discuss supplementation with their healthcare practitioner before making any changes in medication usage.

Sensible adjustments to diet and exercise can go a long way towards reversing type 2 diabetes, but in addition, I would strongly urge your son to add a clinically studied Hintonia latiflora to his daily regimen.
