What can I use to help alleviate the stiffness in my joints?

Dear Terry, “What can I use to help alleviate the stiffness in my joints?” — Sylvia G., Green Bay, WI

Dear Sylvia, When it comes to alleviating joint stiffness, I recommend using highly absorbable curcumin, boswellia, vitamin D and boron. These four ingredients work by helping to reduce joint pain and stiffness, as well as rebuild joint structure.

Keep in mind that standard curcumin is very poorly absorbed, so make sure you choose a curcumin with excellent absorption that has been proven in published human studies. The best form I have ever found uses curcumin blended with turmeric essential oils. This curcumin has been shown in published human studies to be better absorbed than plain curcumin. Be sure to look for a boswellia extract that is standardized for AKBA (short for Acetyl-11-keto-β-Boswellic Acid), one of the most beneficial boswellic acids. It’s also important to find a boswellia extract that has filtered out the majority of beta-boswellic acid. Unlike most boswellic acids, beta-boswellic acid is actually pro-inflammatory. Removing it greatly enhances the potency of the boswellia extract.

Healthy Regards!
