One of my grown sons has just been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis.

Dear Terry, “One of my grown sons has just been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. He has tried several chiropractors with no results.  Recently he decided to consult a medical doctor, who recommended prescription medications, which my son would like to avoid, if possible.  Do you have any recommendations?” — Joanne E., Green Bay, WI

Dear Joanne, I’m sorry to hear about your son’s recent diagnosis. Ankylosing spondylitis is a type of arthritis that affects the spine. Symptoms include pain and stiffness from the neck down to the lower back.

I do have some options that I believe will make a significant difference. However, I would pencourage your son to consult with his healthcare practitioner - I think the best health outcomes are achieved when all those involved are in the loop and cooperating.

When it comes to addressing his pain, I would recommend these four ingredients: highly absorbable curcumin, boswellia, DLPA and nattokinase. Each ingredient works in a slightly different manner to help get him comfortable as quickly as possible. I advise taking these four ingredients three times daily.

I believe your son would also benefit greatly by adding a strong, absorbable curcumin to his daily regimen. I recommend taking 750 mg of high absorption curcumin twice daily. Keep in mind that standard curcumin is very poorly absorbed, so he needs to make sure the product he chooses features a curcumin with excellent absorption that has been proven in published human studies. The best form I have ever found uses curcumin blended with turmeric essential oils. This curcumin has been shown in published human studies to be better absorbed than standard curcumin.

Healthy Regards!
