My daughter and I both suffer from lower back issues.

XX Q. Dear Terry, “My daughter and I both suffer from lower back issues. My daughter is 34 years old and has already had two back surgeries, neither of which has provided any relief. At my age (79 years old) I would prefer to avoid surgery altogether. Do you have any recommendations that might help relieve the pain and discomfort we both experience? Thanks!” — Ray B., Detroit, MI

A. Dear Ray, Back pain can be extremely frustrating and difficult to deal with. The good news is I do have some options that can help. As always, I encourage you to discuss the use of dietary supplementation with your physician, as they may have additional input.

First and foremost, I would recommend that the two of you start taking the following combination: highly absorbable curcumin, boswellia, DLPA, and nattokinase. These four ingredients will help to address any pain you may be experiencing. Each ingredient works in a slightly different manner to get you comfortable as quickly as possible. I suggest taking these four ingredients up to three times daily.

You should also consider adding devil’s claw and white willow. These two botanicals, along with boswellia, work synergistically to relieve inflammation and lower back pain. They also help to build the strength of your back to prevent future injuries. I advise taking these three botanicals twice daily.

Healthy Regards!
