A. Dear Daniel, I think diet can make a huge impact on our overall health, including blood sugar balance. I believe it’s important to restrict all sugar and foods made with sugar, refined flour, and carbohydrates. Sensible adjustments to diet and exercise can go a long way towards regulating blood sugar levels, but in addition, I would strongly urge you to add a clinically studied Hintonia latiflora to your daily regimen. Hintonia latiflora has been studied in Europe for over 60 years. This botanical is great for prevention and treatment of blood sugar issues. Research has shown it can also help prevent people with pre-diabetes from developing type 2 diabetes.
The form I recommend is combined with trace amounts of B vitamins, folic acid, chromium, zinc, and vitamins C and E. These ingredients help protect against oxidative damage to blood vessels, stop nerve damage, and keep metabolism functioning well. In clinical studies, this combination was shown to lower A1C levels by 10%, improve fasting and postprandial blood sugar by 23% and 24% respectively, balance total cholesterol and reduce triglyceride levels, prevent hypoglycemia, and reduce medication use.
I would take 100 mg of hintonia, 25 mcg of chromium, 5 mg of zinc, 50 mcg of biotin, 0.5 mcg of vitamin B12, 170 mcg of folate, 1 mg of vitamin B6, 0.8 mg of vitamin B2, 0.7 mg of vitamin B1, 5 mg of vitamin E, and 30 mg of vitamin C twice per day.
