Are you Eating the Recommended Servings of Fruits and Vegetables per Day?
Recent reports indicate that a very small percentage of Americans consume the recommended five to seven servings of fruits and vegetables per day. These foods are the best sources for the antioxidants that prevent premature aging, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure and many forms of cancer. And yet, the search for the treatment of cancer is a cry from many organizations, but after spending billions of dollars annually for the past 50 years, we are no closer to finding a cancer cure. Eating the five to seven servings of fruits and vegetables, with an emphasis on avoiding 77,000 chemicals that are used in our environment; avoiding pollution, pesticides and excessive, sun, tobacco and excessive drinking is not a cure for cancer but it is a preventative measure that may increase longevity and reduce cancer risk.
