Q. Dear Terry, “I have had pain in both of my feet for over 8 years. I have had 5 surgeries and nothing helped. First I was told it was arthritis. Now I am told I have nerve pain. The last doctor I had told me that she has nothing else for me to help the situation, and now I just have “chronic nerve pain.” She never took the pain away, just operated on one foot that still hurt. Is there something you can help me with to take away the pain? I cannot do anything–I am always in pain.” —John G., Manitowoc, WI A. Dear John, Nerve pain can be very difficult, and I am sorry you have not been able to find relief. I do have some natural interventions that can make an enormous difference. First, watch your carbohydrate intake as many nerve disorders are associated with a high blood sugar level. If you use any carbohydrates at all, choose whole grains and use them infrequently. See my diet recommendations at “Terry’s Diet for All Mankind.” It’s a strict diet, but works wonders for anyone who wants to control their blood sugar level and many symptoms associated with a high intake of carbohydrates, including issues with nerve pain. To improve the health of your nervous system, and to reduce the pain, I would highly recommend the following protocol: Once you see results and your pain is under control, you may reduce the dosage to an adequate maintenance dosage, which might be just one a day of each of the products. Healthy regards! Terry . . . Naturally
